There was a comic festival in Seattle when I lived there though I don't remember it being a library event. It was very cool with workshops and stuff to buy and lots of free stuff and beer!
Maybe...I wish I remember...I have the stuff I bought there somewhere in this mess...
I really loved it overall but at the time there were some aspects that sucked. The first winter I was there it rained 90+ days in a row. It actually rained for three full months---even the natives were freaking out.
Seattle has it.
